Barça to Host Inaugural Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years since relocating so building work could begin.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.

Recent Activities

The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match facing Eintracht in December at the stadium. Their recent games have been held at the Olympic Stadium.
