Close to Ninety Air Travels Associated to Epstein Allegedly Landed at or Took Off from UK Airfields
Analysis has found that close to 90 flights linked to Jeffrey Epstein are said to have arrived at and departed from UK airports, with some reportedly having onboard British women who assert they were abused by the convicted child sex offender.
Flight Logs Uncover Trail of Movement
The travel manifests were part of a trove of court documents and papers made public by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein that have been made public over the last year. The investigation found 87 flights tied to Epstein – including many that were hitherto undisclosed – coming into or leaving from UK airports between the early 1990s and 2018.
Passenger Details and Post-Conviction Travel
Unidentified women were listed among the passengers travelling into and out of the UK. Significantly, 15 of these British airport journeys happened after Epstein’s 2008 guilty verdict for procuring prostitution from a underage person.
“This is ‘shocking’ that there had never been a ‘thorough probe in the UK’ into his dealings in the country,” stated US lawyers representing hundreds of Epstein survivors.
British Victims and Legal Proceedings
A statement from one of the UK-based survivors helped convict Epstein’s associate socialite Ghislaine Maxwell of child sex-trafficking in the US in 2021. But, that victim has not been approached by British law enforcement, as stated by her attorney based in Florida.
In a response, the London's Metropolitan Police stated they had “not received any new information that would support reopening the inquiry.” They noted, “If new and relevant information be brought to our attention, including any arising from the disclosure of material in the US, we will evaluate it.”
Continuing Disclosure and Legal Rulings
A bill to release all files held by the American government in regarding Epstein passed the House and Senate last month. The Department of Justice has until 19 December to follow through. A vast number of papers are projected to be released.
Separately, a federal judge ruled last week that the department could disclose case files from a sex-trafficking case against Maxwell, Epstein’s close friend, who is serving a 20-year jail term over the allegations.
