Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage includes live text of Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with the Broncos-Jets clash at Tottenham (from 14:00 BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on designated networks covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

It's week six in the football calendar , following last week's discussion about the Buffalo Bills and Philadelphia Eagles as a potential Super Bowl match-up, each lost their perfect starts.

Striking in those games was the number of penalties both conceded. The Eagles did so at crucial times meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 going into the fourth period against Denver, who play in London this Sunday.

However it was positive to see how Denver quarterback Bo Nix was able to have that deficit before direct three successful possessions in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the victory 21-17.

The Broncos have the top defender with cornerback their star corner. They rank number one in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in red zone offence, yet the Broncos prevailed in that contest.

They had effective strategies regarding simulated pressure. They did not always rushing more than four pass rushers instead they could plug two LBs in the interior before withdrawing them and dispatch a nickel from the outside.

Early on of the season, we said on a program how Denver could be the current year's dark horses. They ended the previous year well and excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

New tight end Evan Engram has stepped up significantly and recent running back their rusher is a guy the team trusts. He now ranks fifth league-wide for rushing yards (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (four).

It's impressive that head coach the Broncos' leader has "RUN IT!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos are a team that wants to prioritize the run, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes while maintains in favourable down and distances.

This has benefited QB Bo Nix, who came into the league as the 12th overall draft pick last year, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to Justin Herbert in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to throw all over, but they lack the mobility that Nix has. He boasts incredible passing ability, a unique trait, plus he is so athletic.

His assets include his mobility, being able to throw on the run, and finding varied release points to make throws when he rolls out of the pocket, on rollouts. He is able to throw that layered pass over the middle and over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays great composure under pressure and is not bothered by the blitz. He tries to evade being tackled whenever possible and is able throw in tight spots. He has a high football IQ and remains quick to decide.

If you constantly rush it eats up time and makes the defence to stay in play extended periods, and if you have an athletic quarterback the defence must defend the field vertically and horizontally. It can be draining.

Nix has pushed back with the coach during games sometimes and I think the coach likes that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback that is similar to play-dough. The coach can really develop him how he desires to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for him.

Payton has won a championship and has surpassed a legend for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. I think the achievements the Broncos are having offensively is mostly down to his leadership, his schemes, his situational awareness – and the combination with the QB aids make him into who he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to help you during some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. But are they good enough to go against a top squad at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles in their last game.

Currently, it's unlikely Denver are incredible. They're working above average, which is a solid position to be in the AFC West. All they need is to continue this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their forte, which is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the New York Jets in London. It's going to be the JK Dobbins show, essentially.

The Jets have allowed 140 rushing yards each contest (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (10th worst), and they're the only team yet to win a game.

Since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, this team are the first team to be without a single takeaway in five outings, which is kind of shocking when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following the upcoming matchup, the Broncos face a smooth-ish schedule until their bye (in week 12) - the New York Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans and Las Vegas Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

In their division, Kansas City are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends upon what version of the Chiefs they face because Denver {beat|def
